The Mission

To raise public awareness about the financial hardships experienced by officers injured in the line of duty.

To provide financial assistance to the officers and their families during their lost worktime.

To give parties involved spiritual help and compassion utilizing the IPFCA's national network of over 500 qualified chaplains, many of whom have had law enforcement experience.

The Case for Your Investment:

This fund offers financial assistance to injured officers to help cover living expenses while on disability.

15,000

Approximately 15,000 law enforcement officers are assaulted and injured in the line of duty within the United States each year.(source National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund nieomf.org)

60% or less

While off work after sustaining an injury, many officers only receive 60% or less of their base salary, creating great financial hardship for officers and their families.

coverage

A large percentage of officers are without adequate health insurance coverage.

The officer¹s financial hardship negatively impacts their immediate families, thereby compounding the trauma they are already experiencing.

Given the large number of officers in need, the IPFCA coordinates with the police unions and police departments across the United States to determine how THE DENTED BADGE can have the most impact.

The sad fact is that the majority of Americans take our police for granted; we forget their daily personal sacrifice to keep us all safe in a society growing more dangerous.
